John O’Brien from the Central Committee of the Garda Síochána Retired Members Association recently had a recorded conversation with Máirtín Breathnach from the Garda Post surrounding our reaction to the tragic circumstances of the death of Colm Horkan, being the 89th Member of An Garda Síochána to lose his life in the service of the State since 1922 and also the third Member from the Castlerea Garda District to lose his life on duty.
