Since 1999, a small Committee of Retired members of An Garda Siochana and Friends have held this Annual Event at the Garda Boat Club, with no expense.
We have to date raised over half a million Euro, (€500,000) for the Patient Services, at the Harold’s Cross & Blackrock Hospices.
Large numbers of members of An Garda Siochana and families have availed of the caring services provided by the Hospice.
I currently Chair the Committee and joined by Gerry Blake, Michael Coleman, Assistant Commissioner Orla Mc.Partland, Joe Harte, Gerry McDonagh and the late Dublin South Branch Treasurer Joe Byrne, the late DPP Eamon Barnes was also on the Committee.
