Garda Representative Association
The Garda Representative Association is established under the provisions of the Garda Síochána Act, 1924 as amended by the Garda Síochána Act 2005. The Association is the professional body established to meet the needs of its members in areas of pay, welfare and conditions of employment.

Official website of An Garda Síochána
An Garda Síochána is the national police service of Ireland. The Mission of An Garda Síochána is Working with Communities to Protect and Serve. Following the establishment of the Irish Free State in 1922, the Dublin Metropolitan Police merged with the recently established An Garda Síochána in 1925.

The Pensions Board is a statutory body set up under the Pensions Act, 1990. The Board regulates, 1. occupational pension schemes, 2. trust RACs, 3. Personal Retirement Savings Accounts in Ireland.

St. Raphael’s Garda Credit Union
On April 22nd, 1964, thirteen members of An Garda Siochana held a meeting in historic Dublin Castle, to discuss the possibility of forming a Garda credit union. Those present understood the benefits that such an organisation could bring to it’s members, and wasted no time in forming it.

St Paul’s Garda Credit Union
St. Paul’s Credit Union is a credit union focused on serving the needs of Gardaí, retired Gardaí and their families. Established in Cork in 1967, St. Paul’s now has members in every division in the country.

Garda Travel Club
The Garda Holiday and Travel Club Ltd. was formed in January 1991 for the purpose of providing holidays and travel arrangements at the keenest possible prices for it’s members.

St. Paul’s Garda Medical Aid Society
St. Paul’s Garda Medical Aid Society has been looking after the health insurance needs of it’s members since 1st January 1980 when it formed from the amalgamation of the Garda Siochana Medical Aid Society and the St Paul’s Benefit Society Limited.

International Police Association – Irish Section
Arthur Troop was born on December 15, 1914. He joined the Lincolnshire Constabulary on June 19, 1936. He married Marjorie. They had two sons, Barry and Kevin, and a daughter, Susan. He retired in 1966. Arthur died from cancer on November 30, 2000, aged 85 years. May he rest in peace.
