Public Pay Commission

Many of you are asking what is the position with the new Public Pay Commission and how will it fit with us as Garda pensioners.

I recently wrote to An Taoiseach, Mr Enda Kenny TD, requesting the allocation of a slot on the new Commission for Garda Siochana Retired Members Association. An Taoiseach passed my correspondence to Mr Pascal Donohoe Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform.  The Minister has now replied to me and I attach his letter, with the terms of Reference for Public Service Pay Commission (PSPC). The Minister sets out that we as an interested party can now make submissions to the PSPC, and the Central Committee of GSRMA will undertake this very important task, as a priority.

Thanks so much for this information and it is clear that our association is to the fore front in seeking pension restoration.
