Thursday, 15th May 2014, was a proud day for the Garda Síochána Retired Members’ Association (GSRMA), when Mr. Gerry Blake (President) and Central Committee Members celebrated the official opening of their new Head Office. Assistant Garda Commissioner John Twomey, represented the Garda Síochána as other invited guests assembled for the official opening ceremony. Fr. Joe Kennedy (Garda Chaplain) recited bible readings while Fr. Ralph Egan (Garda Chaplain 1984-92) was overcome with emotion as he reflected in prayer to his many visits on old C.C. & Gen. Secretaries at 32 Nassau Street. Willie Hogan, GSRMA Photographer was on hands to capture photographs to remind us of the day when a —Dream Came True with the official Opening of GSRMA House, No. 5 Harrington Street, Dublin 8.
