Irish Times – Interview with Noel O’ Sullivan

Noel E. O’ Sullivan, is proud of the experience gained during a lifespan of 73 years which all started in a place called Castlecove (Cuan an Chaisleáin) on the “Ring of Kerry”.   With Blood from the KINGDOM coursing through his veins Noel, developed a great interest and love for sport.  During his career in the force, he served in many Garda Stations and in a recent interview stated: “I learned more about people through sport than I ever did through management courses”.  Noel is a Dublin Representative on the Central Committee of the Garda Síochána Retired members’ Association (GSRMA).

    I was in the same area on the border in 1977/78 and really enjoyed the work but housing was a huge problem. I agree with him 100 per cent being Jacks of all trades and being able to face any challenges. Doing simple tasks day in day out as he describes well, prevented many problems,Like a Good G.P. in medicine. The Garda that does everything is likewise.
