Frank White (91 Yrs.), Castleknock, Dublin. died peacefully yesterday at Connolly Hospital Dublin. The Garda Síochána Retired Members’ Association extend sincere sympathy to his family. Frank, a native of Sligo, retired from the Garda Síochána in 1978 and during his service had strong links with the Garda Representative Associations since the days of the Conroy Commission.
Following retirement, Frank worked at GSRMA Head Office from 1980 until 2000 where he served a lengthy period as the GSRMA General Secretary. In March 2013, Frank went back with family & friends to the luxury Castle Dargan Hotel / Golf & Spa Resort in his native Sligo to celebrate his 90th Birthday.
Many of our retired colleagues countrywide have fond memories of Frank White, a Sportsman, a Genteleman and an outstanding ambassador for the Garda Síochána Retired members’ Association.
